Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday dear me,
Happy Birthday to me!
I could write another long birthday post, but I won’t. I’ve already written birthday posts on this blog, never expecting my blog would survive this long. For past birthday posts visit:
- And So Begins Another Year
- Birthday Wishes
- This is the Year (which might also appeal to any Douglas Adams fans)
I’ve gotten many lovely birthday wishes today. I also got a beautiful card from Nathan that made me cry . . . in a good way. We don’t have major plans to celebrate today, partially because payday isn’t until tomorrow, and partially because my Tuesday-Thursday schedule wipes me out. I’m sure we’ll do something tomorrow.
Today we will probably eat some pie, because it is also Happy Pi Day!
One of the greetings that really tickled me today, even though it is a marketing thing as well, was that I got my own Google banner.
Sometimes the small things make you feel special.
What do you do to celebrate your birthday? What should I do to celebrate mine?

I celebrate my birthday by doing a jig while singing to myself, wearing something beautiful and trying to do at least one thing that feels luxurious (even a movie) preferably with someone I love.
I say go embrace the luxury in your life and focus on what makes you smile whether it is what you do, what you do with your family, and, reminds you how special you are! Here’s to a great year!

That sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. Thank you so much Linda.

I hope your day has been perfect, Lisa. I will be celebrating my birthday by waking up in Myrtle Beach (which I detest) next to MTM (who I adore), where I will have spent my birthday weekend on the faculty of our Rotary District Conference.
I hope you have celebrated yours by remembering all the reasons you’re valuable and eating a big, fat piece of something you love.

Have I written at all about my adventures living in Myrtle Beach one summer. He he he.
Yesterday was a rather subdued celebration involving, chocolate cake AND pecan pie, as well as a relaxing bubble bath and massage after a REALLY STRESSFULL few days at work. I was too tired for much else. However, celebration may continue this weekend, and written celebrations continue all month of course (or at least until I reach 45).

Thank you.

I’m sorry I missed your birthday, although just barely. Hope you had a joyful day.
Well, now that I see your comment above I realize it could have been better.
Sometimes we just have to be grateful for what we can and find joy wherever we are.

It’s all good, Christine. I’m celebrating all month, and actually into April because my gift from Nathan isn’t until April 14th or something.
There were small moments of joy yesterday which made up for a lot of the yucky stuff (that had nothing to do with my birthday)

Happy birthday, Lisa!

Happy Birthday! Hope it was delicious.

It was. Both chocolate cake and pecan pie. No calories on birthdays, right?
